We’re Rob and Mary Culbertson, owners of Eclipse Dental Lab, Inc., which opened in July 2000. Rob is a certified dental laboratory technician, and I manage the books. We’ve banked at the same large bank since before 2000. When COVID-19 shut us down, we needed their assistance in applying for a PPP loan. We tried to reach our business banker repeatedly, only to discover he’d left the bank, and his replacement lacked the knowledge to help us. With no alternative, we filed our own application, which was later rejected without explanation. While we were growing increasingly frustrated, our friends were getting their PPP loans funded.
We knew Jerry Johnson at Bank of the Bluegrass, so we decided to see if they could help us. His colleague, Matthew Robertson, quickly responded to us.
